Carlsberg UK is a committed and proactive member of the Portman Group, the industry's credible and well respected self regulatory body. As part of this partnership, Carlsberg UK also assist in funding the Drinkaware Trust, an independent, national, public facing body set up to change the way people view and use alcohol, delivering clear educational guidance on responsible drinking.
The Portman Group's Code of Practice applies to the naming, packaging and promotion of alcoholic drinks. It provides a procedural framework for influencing, regulating and controlling industry practice. This Code of Practice delivers a platform to Carlsberg UK's responsibilities when it comes to the marketing and promotion of alcoholic drinks.
The alcohol industry is committed to promoting its products in a socially responsible manner and only to those over the age of 18. It is our responsibility as a brewer to deliver enough information through all available communication channels and drive home the message of sensible drinking.
