  2. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.

  3. To enter the promotion you must purchase a 20 x 440ml promotional pack of Carlsberg lager from participating Co-Operative stores and be one of the first 5,000 people to visit www.carlsberg.co.uk/coopkits and enter your full name, address and post code along with the barcode on the pack of Carlsberg. 5 a-side Carlsberg Football Tournament Promotion

Terms and Conditions

  1. This promotion is open to all men aged 18 or over and resident in England, excluding agencies professionally connected with this promotion.
  2. Entrants must not hold a position within a professional or semi-professional football team, recognized by any member federation of UEFA or FIFA.
  3. Please note this promotion is being operated under FA guidelines.

Entry

  1. To enter the Carlsberg pub cup tournament (Pub Cup) you must obtain a five digit code (Pin) from a participating licensed premises that stocks Carlsberg (Licensed Premises). Entrants must then:
    a. enter the Pin to register a football team of between 5 and 7 members and, at the entrant's option, one manager who shall be a representative of the Licensed Premises (Team) at www.carlsberg.co.uk/pubcup (Site);
    b. accept these terms and conditions and the Pub Cup rules available on the Site (Rules);
    c. be available to attend all stages of the Pub Cup; and
    d. pay a £25 entry fee per Team either at the first Venue (defined below) or at the Venue's online payment portal; Teams will not be eligible to play without paying this sum. The £25 entry fee will not be refunded in any event.
    Internet access is required.

  2. Entrants must not have been barred from entering the Licensed Premises or any of the venues in which the various Pub Cup stages take place (Venue). Any entrant who is barred from the Licensed Premises or Venues during the Pub Cup will be expelled from the Pub Cup and unable to compete in the remainder of the Pub Cup.

  3. All entries must be received by the Promoter before midnight on Saturday 3 March 2012 (Closing Date).
  4. Only one entry into the Pub Cup per person.
  5. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries into the Pub Cup that are lost, delayed or not received for any reason.
  6. The Venues and Promoter as applicable reserve the right to refuse entry into and participation in the Pub Cup at their discretion to entrants who display abusive, aggressive, offensive, excessively intoxicated, threatening or similar behavior. All entrants so refused will be expelled from the Pub Cup.
  7. Each Team will nominate an individual to act as team captain who will also act as primary contact between the Team and Promoter and Venues (Representative). The Representative shall provide the Promoter and Venues with an email address and contact details to enable the Promoter and Venues to manage the Pub Cup.

Pub Cup Structure

  1. The initial stage of the Pub Cup will operate between 3rd March 2012 and 25 March 2012 (Group Stage) and will be operated at selected Venues around England. Full details of the Venues of Group Stages are available at the Site or on request from the Promoter.
  2. The Group Stages will be refereed by the applicable Venue. The decision of the Venues in respect of each Group Stage is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. The four Teams that progress from their respective Group Stages will be entered into the 16 local regional finals (Regional Final) to be held between Sunday 15 April 2012 and Sunday 29 April 2012 with all Teams ranked in order of their point score from their respective local Group Stages.
  4. The one Team that wins each Regional Final will qualify to play at the grand final at the Emirates Stadium, London on Saturday 19 May 2012 (Grand Final).
  5. The Grand Final will take place between the sixteen qualifying teams and the winning team will go on to play against a team of European football legends in the Carlsberg Fan Park at UEFA Euro 2012™ on or around the date of an England UEFA Euro 2012 ™ group game in Poland or the Ukraine (Final). Please see updates to the Site for further details.
  6. Entrants who participate in the Pub Cup shall, during the Group Stages and Regional Finals be able to earn green cards from the referees of such games (Green Card). Green Cards shall be awarded in accordance with the Rules at the referee's sole discretion.
  7. The Promoter shall choose 16 Teams, one Team from each of the Regional Final catchment areas, who have been awarded Green Cards. The winning team from each catchment area will be the first entry drawn from all eligible Green Card entries in that catchment area. The 16 Teams shall attend the Green Card final (Green Final) held on Saturday 19 May 2012 at the Emirates Stadium, London. Winning teams will be notified by Monday 20 April 2012.
  8. The Promoter accepts no liability if you are unable to attend your local Group Stage, local Regional Final, Grand Final, Green Final or Final. No alternative arrangements will be made and if applicable your place will be forfeited and offered to one of the Teams from previous stage of the Pub Cup to be determined at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

Prizes

  1. The winning team at each Group Stage will receive one trophy per Team.
  2. Each Team that wins their respective Regional Final will win one trophy for the Team; a Carlsberg t-shirt (available in one size only); a Carlsberg branded kit bag; and one voucher which can be used on the day of the Regional Final to purchase one pint of Carlsberg draught lager at the Venue for each member of the Team present at the Regional Final.
  3. There will be one winner of each of the sixteen Regional Finals. Each winner of their Regional Final shall win the opportunity to play in the Grand Final. Teams playing in the Grand Final will be provided with one Pub Cup kit (available in one size only), one England football shirt (available in one size only) and one Carlsberg branded kit bag for each member of the Team. Transport to the Venue for the Grand Final will be provided via mini bus for each Team that qualifies for the Grand Final. Transport will be provided from the Licensed Premises that provided their Pin to the Emirates Stadium in London.
  4. There will be one Team winner of the Grand Final (Winning Team). The Wining Team will receive:
    a. the Pub Cup trophy;
    b. the opportunity to play in the Final; and
    c. a half day football training session in the UK with a Carlsberg UEFA EURO 2012™ ambassador at a date and location to be determined in the days preceding the Final. Please see updates to the Site for further details.
  5. Each member of the Winning Team will also win:
    a. a Pub Cup medal;
    b. one ticket to attend one of England's UEFA Euro 2012™ group matches in Poland or the Ukraine, ticket allocation and choice of match will be subject to availability and determined by the Promoter; and
    c. a Carlsberg branded team kit, one pair of suit trousers and jacket, one tracksuit and one pair of football boots for each Team member (Kit).
  6. The design of the Kit will be determined by the Promoter. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to locate Kit in the sizing required by the Team where possible.
  7. Flights to Poland or the Ukraine are pre-booked economy class from the UK, there is no flight alternative. The Winning Team prize includes 3 or 4 star hotel accommodation with all meals provided for one night in single occupancy rooms.
  8. The Winning Team must provide their own travel insurance and supply proof of insurance at the time of booking. Players on the Winning Team must be legally able to travel to Poland and the Ukraine and obtain all necessary visas and other documentation. Copies of valid passports will also be required. Any further prize details will be confirmed when the Winning Team is contacted.
  9. The team that wins the Green Final will receive:
    a. one trophy for the Team; and
    b. winners medals for each member of the Team.
  10. Save as provided in paragraphs 21 and 24 any expenses incurred by you or your Team in participating in the Pub Cup, attending the Group Stage, Regional Final, Grand Final, Green Card Final or otherwise in the general enjoyment of the Pub Cup are the sole responsibility of you and/or your Team as applicable.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of at least equal value if circumstances make this necessary.
  12. If the prize is declined, a winner or the Winning Team cannot take up the prize or a winner or Winning Team cannot be contacted within a reasonable time, the prize will be forfeited and a supplementary winner will be drawn at the Promoter’s sole discretion. Missed flights, transfers or failure to obtain all of the documentation required in paragraph 27 above will be deemed as the prize being forfeited.
  13. The prizes are non-transferable and no cash or other alternative will be offered. The Promoter will not be responsible for any inability of the Winning Team or other winner of any prize to take up the specified prize.

General

  1. By entering the Pub Cup you agree that you understand that participation in the Pub Cup may be dangerous and involve a risk of injury, death and/or property damage. By competing in the Pub Cup you acknowledge that such participation is entirely at your own risk and you hereby waive the Promoter and Venue's responsibility for any claims of personal injury, death or damage to personal property associated with the Pub Cup. Nothing in this waiver is intended nor shall it be construed as an attempt by the Promoter or any Venue to exclude or limit its liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or that of its employees acting in the course of their employment.
  2. The Promoter accepts no responsibility if the Pub Cup is cancelled, rescheduled, delayed or cannot take place for any reason.
  3. In addition to the rights reserved at paragraph 9, the Promoter reserves the right to remove, suspend or eject Team members or Teams from the Pub Cup if the Promoter deems, in its sole discretion, that the Team or Team member is in breach of these terms and conditions or of the Rules; is acting outside the spirit of the game and/or Pub Cup; or otherwise in contravention of the best interests of the participants of the Pub Cup.
  4. If at any time during the Pub Cup a Team is unable to attend a stage of the Pub Cup or is disqualified, suspended or ejected from the Pub Cup for whatever reason, the Promoter may at its sole discretion select a replacement Team from alternative Pub Cup participants.
  5. To obtain the names and county of the Winning Team, please send a stamped SAE to Carlsberg Pub Cup, Southside 6th Floor, 105 Victoria Street, London SW1E 6QT within three months of 31 August 2012.
  6. Your data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering the Pub Cup including to provide you with any applicable prizes and create the marketing materials set out in paragraph
  7. You may be asked to take part in promotional activities, to provide digital photographs and/or films, interviews and copy of or about you for use on a promotional website, digital media or in the Promoter’s marketing material. It is a condition of entry that you agree to such use if you win and to sign any necessary promotional releases relating to your image rights.
  8. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend or change details of the Pub Cup without notice.
  9. The decision of the Promoter on any aspect of the Pub Cup, and where applicable the Venues, is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition is open to UK (excluding Northern Ireland) residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees, and their immediate families, of Carlsberg UK Ltd, its associated companies, agencies and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion. Internet access is required to enter.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entry and a prize may be withheld until and unless the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.

Entry

  1. There are two ways to enter to win one of the Main Prizes (as defined below):
    (a) you can purchase one of the promotional packs of Carlsberg or Carlsberg Export, each of which has a unique code printed either inside or on the outside of the pack (Code). Once you have located the Code, visit www.carlsberg.co.uk/wintickets (Website) to enter and follow the instructions to see if you have won;
    (b) alternatively, visit www.facebook.com/carlsbergforengland (Facebook Site) and tell us what you would do to win one of the Main Prizes by following the instructions. To enter, you will either have to (i) confirm that you would be prepared to perform one of four challenges entitled Loyalty, Passion, Pride and Belief, and described in more detail on the Facebook Site (Carlsberg Challenges) or (ii) tell us which alternative challenge you would be prepared to complete to win the tickets (Your Challenge). The entry describing Your Challenge (Submission) must be no more than 150 words long and Your Challenge must be football related.
  2. Your Submission and Your Challenge must:
    (a) not cause offence or harm to any group, religion, race or individual;
    (b) not promote smoking or irresponsible, illegal or excessive drinking of alcohol;
    (c) be your own, original idea;
    (d) not have alcoholic strength or high alcohol content as the dominant theme, or suggest an association with bravado, violent, aggressive, dangerous or anti-social behavior;

    (f) not suggest association with sexual success, social success or popularity, or encourage rapid or "down in one" drinking;

  6. To be in with a chance of winning one of the Main Prizes entries must be received by the following dates:
    (a) entries via the Website must be received between 1st February 2012 and midnight on 18th April 2012 (Website Promotional Period)
    (b) entries for the Pride Carlsberg Challenge must be received by midnight on 17 February 2012;
    (c) entries for the Loyalty Carlsberg Challenge must be received by midnight on 2 March 2012;
    (d) entries for the Passion Carlsberg Challenge must be received by midnight on 16 March 2012;
    (e) entries for the Belief Carlsberg Challenge must be received by midnight on 12 April 2012; and
    (f) entries for the Your Idea Submissions must be received by midnight on 18 April 2012

  7. No third party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. Entries not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid.
  8. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms and conditions of this competition, and in the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence.

Main Prizes

  1. There are 16 main prizes to be won, each being a pair of VIP tickets to watch an England game at UEFA EURO 2012TM in Poland or Ukraine (Main Prize). The chosen fixture will be at the discretion of the Promoter. Each Main Prize also includes 1 night's twin or double room bed and breakfast accommodation in a 3-star (or equivalent) hotel in Poland or Ukraine, economy return flights from a UK airport nominated by the Promoter (airport taxes included), and transfers to and from the airport in Poland or Ukraine and the match. Any further prize details will be confirmed when each winner is contacted. Any expenses not specified and incurred by the winners or their guests in the use of the tickets and enjoyment of the Main Prizes are the responsibility of the winners and their guests.
  2. The 16 winners of the Main Prizes will be selected as follows:
    (a) 11 of the Main Prizes will be won by people entering via the Website in accordance with paragraph 3 (a) above. 11 dates and times, each falling within the Website Promotional Period, have been chosen at random before the start of the competition (Winning Times). Each of the 11 Main Prizes to be won via the Website will be won by the person who enters their Code via the Website in accordance with paragraph 3 (a) above closest to, but after, a Winning Time. So, for example, if a Winning Time was 12.34pm on 26 February 2012, a Main Prize will be won by the first person who enters their Code via the Website after that time. Entrants will be notified instantly on the Website whether or not they have won as soon as they enter their Code. To claim their prize, winners must then follow the instructions given on the Website.

  4. As proof of eligibility of entry, the following information must be provided from the receipt of sale at the time of entry: receipt number, receipt reference number and date of purchase.
  5. No bulk, third party or consumer group applications will be accepted.
  6. There is one prize consisting of 2 tickets to the UEFA Euro 2012™ Quarter Final football match on Sunday 24 June 2012 in Kyiv, Ukraine as well as pre-booked return economy class flights from a London, UK. There is no flight alternative. The prize also includes one night's accommodation in a 3 star hotel with the winner and guest sharing a twin bedroom or equivalent, transfers to and from the match, hostess assistance and VIP hospitality at the game. Both the winner and their guest must be aged 18 or over. Meals will be provided (on a 3 meals per day basis dependent upon flight times) at the hotel and as part of the VIP hospitality at the match. A limited number of drinks at the match and during the hospitality will also be provided. Any further expenses incurred by the winner and their guest with regard to travel, and in the general use and/or enjoyment of the prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest.
  7. The winner shall be responsible for any damage to the hotel or other venues (including their contents) visited by the winner and their guest throughout the trip caused as a result of a deliberate or negligent act or omission of the winner or their guest.
  8. Use of the Tickets is subject to the terms and conditions on the Tickets and the regulations in force at the applicable venue. The Tickets may not be resold under any circumstances. The Promoters reserve the right to refuse attendance at the match to anyone who has a criminal record or has been escorted or banned from any football match / stadium in the past.
  9. The winner and guest must provide their own travel insurance and supply proof of insurance to the Promoter upon request. Both the winner and guest must be legally able to travel to Ukraine, are each responsible for ensuring they each have a valid passport and must obtain all necessary visas and other documentation. Copies of valid passports will also be required. Any further prize details will be confirmed when the winner is contacted.
  10. The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries received by the closing date and will be contacted by 25/04/12 using the details provided to enter the promotion. The winner must supply the name of their guest using the second ticket by 30/04/12 and shall be solely responsible for providing full and accurate details. The decision of the Promoters is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The Promoters reserve the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoters may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless,or until, the Promoters are satisfied with the verification.
  12. If the prize is declined, or the winner cannot take up the prize or be contacted within a reasonable time, the prize will be forfeited and a supplementary winner may be drawn at the Promoters sole discretion.
  13. The prize is non-transferable and no cash or other prize alternative will be offered and the prize will only be awarded to the winner. The promoters reserve the right to substitute an alternative prize of at least equal value if circumstances make this necessary. The Promoters will not be responsible for any inability of a prize winner to take up the specified prize.
  14. The Promoters accept no responsibility for cancellation, curtailment or alteration of the event to which the Tickets relate, or transport to or from it, for any reason.
  15. Each of the Promoters hereby disclaims any liability for any aspect of the promotion not under their direct control, as set out in paragraph 25.
  16. The promoters accept no responsibility for incomplete, lost, corrupt or incorrect entries or for any malfunctions, errors or viruses in the software that has been designed to maintain the entrants’ details, or for any incompatibility with all, or any, hardware and/or software that entrants may use. The promoters do not guarantee that the website will be available all the time or at any specific time. Proof of entering will not be taken as proof of receipt of entry.
  17. The prize winner and their guest may be required to take part in unpaid promotional activities relating to or in connection with this contestand to provide digital photographs of themselves for use on a promotional website or in the Promoters’ marketing material. It is a condition of entry that entrants agree to such use in the event of winning the prize, as well as signing any necessary promotional releases relating to their image rights, and to their name and country of residence being made publicly available.
  18. Lidl UK and Lidl Northern Ireland will collect personal information for the purpose of administering this promotion. This may include contacting the winner via further emails, text messages or calls regarding this promotion. Details will only be passed onto other organisations necessary to conduct the independently supervised prize draw and in order for the prize to be provided, as well as email addresses for those entrants wishing to receive the Lidl UK or Northern Ireland email newsletter. In administering this promotion, Lidl UK and Lidl Northern Ireland will not collect more of your personal information than absolutely necessary and will not retain it after the duration of the promotion, with the exception of the winner and their guest and email addresses for those entrants wishing to receive Lidlemail newsletters. By entering this promotion you agree to the collection and use of your data in this manner.
  19. All entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions and any requirements set out in any accompanying promotional material.
  20. The promoters reserve the right to select an alternative winner in the event they believe that the winner has contravened any of these Terms and Conditions.

  22. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  23. This promotion and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
